What a joyous time of year as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior!! The residents, tenants and patients at Vinton Lutheran Home Communities are looking forward to warmer weather. The grass is turning green, the trees are budding and the flowers are beginning to bloom. We will enjoy the fresh air and the reminder of God’s beauty everywhere we look around us.
Our Lutheran Home Communities are so thankful to have wonderful volunteers! To honor their hard work and dedication, a “Volunteer Tea” was held. We were able to pay special tribute to over sixty volunteers who are committed to the Lutheran Home’s mission of “Providing Quality Christian Care and Service”. We are so very blessed.
An Easter Egg hunt was hosted for the children and grandchildren of the residents and staff members. This is an annual event that the children absolutely love. It gives us also an opportunity to share the good news of the “Easter Story” of God’s love.
Our Spring and Summer activities are just beginning and are sure to be enjoyed by each and every resident. Some of the special activities include: Mother-Daughter Tea on May 2nd, Nursing Home Week celebration during May 13-17th, Father-Son Coffee on June 13th, Annual Golf Outing on June 21st and Ice Cream Social on August 4th and much more.
