St. Paul Lutheran Church In Eldora: Good Shepherd Preschool

The racing was fast and furious and most of all safe at the Good Shepherd Trike-A-Thon in March. Three separate classes of students participated in the Trike-A-Thon which had the triple purpose of raising funds for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, teaching the children about tricycle and bicycle safety and providing a whole lot of fun for preschool riders and watching parents and grandparents and assorted others.

Good Shepherd Preschool is part of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora and this year the 50 children involved raised $1869 from donations which were then sent to St. Jude. The Trike-A-Thon includes children riding tricycles or pedal tractors or mini-bikes around and around and
around a circular track marked with inflatable road signs in the Church Social Room. Prior to the racing, children spend several days learning about tricycle safety rules like always wearing their helmets and about driver courtesy. It is a fun and beneficial experience for everyone involved!
