“Do you have a youth group?” Most congregations would give the answer, “Yes, we do!” At St. Paul’s Lutheran Chapel we say, “Yes. That is we have youth and they have a group, but it’s different.” Here’s what makes it different.

In an effort to give our high school youth (we have four) a youth group, Crysten Sanchez, a member at St. Paul’s Chapel, but also the Family Life Director at St. Paul, Mount Vernon, has invited the Chapel youth to participate in the St. Paul’s Mount Vernon youth group. One of the highlights for our youth is the annual trip the High Things conference. This year’s conference will be held at Purdue University in July.

In an effort to help our youth raise money for the conference, the Chapel hosts a formal dinner and movie night. This event gives our congregation and students a chance to dress up, eat a fine meal, enjoy a great movie, and support our youth via a free will donation. This year’s dinner was held in February and, as you can see, these college kids clean-up really well!
