“Serve God and one another with His blessings.” This is the motto of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chariton.
As God has truly blessed his church with his Gospel, He has also blessed the youth of Trinity with the opportunity to serve one another. The youth group of Trinity Lutheran Church took the opportunity to attend a “Servant Event” trip. From June 8th through the 13th, the youth group, led by youth leader Bruce Selking, attended a week long servant event at Lutheran Island Camp in Henning, MN. The youth spent much of their time serving the camp. They joined several other youth groups from around the region to do repair and maintenance work for the camp. They did word such as putting siding on the chapel, building a deck, and repairing cement benches. They also had the opportunity to join in other park activities such as kayaking in the lake and joining in fellowship with other youth.
The youth who attended were Ronnie Christensen, Rosemary Selking, Colton Willey, Joey Christensen, and Matt Richardson.
