Nurse of the WeekAre you an R.N. seeking an enjoyable and unique way to use your training for a week in a beautiful setting amidst whispering pines, colorful wildflowers, and jubilant children? Please consider serving as our resident Nurse of the Week to oversee the administration of medication and provide loving emergency care for skinned knees. We will provide you with a room with a private bath, your meals, and plenty of time to relax. Sound good? Perhaps you would like to volunteer for more than one week. Students from St. Paul’s Lutheran Chapel, Iowa City help camp staff make final preparations for summer.
For the second year running, students from the University of Iowa attending St. Paul’s Lutheran Chapel spent their Spring Break not in parties on a sunny beach, but working at Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca helping the camp staff prepare the camp for the summer camping programs. Students painted the walls leading to the lower level of Omega Lodge as well as the floor of the lower level, installed numbers on the Frisbee Golf Course goals, painted the kitchen, installed quilt racks in the Alpha Lodge High Comfort rooms, and much more.
