Actually, the committee has been around for quite awhile.
The committee meets every January to discuss what we can offer for our youth to help provide opportunities and resources for the congregations of IDE in order for the churches to develop or strengthen their local programs. The events also provide a way for youth leaders to network and the youth to provide Christian fellowship with youth in other churches. The posters and booklets that list the events are sent to all of the churches in the early summer. Please keep an eye open for those items.
The next event will be "Lutheran Day" at Adventureland, June 25th. The cost is $17.50 at the Special Activities Gate. Enjoy a great day, light rain or shine. The lines are shorter and the fellowship is great.
Also, there is a change in the Youth Leader Retreat date. It will be Fri., Aug. 15th through Sat., Aug. 16th. Mark your calendars for this chance to recharge your youth leader batteries.
The Confirmation Retreat will be held in September. Watch for the dates.
