It’s Finals Week!
April showers may bring May flowers, but May brings final exams to Iowa City. Therefore, put away your notes and books. Please take out a No. 2 pencil and get ready for the St. Paul’s Chapel Final Exam!
Question 1: On a Hometown Tour of Davenport, you visit Trinity Lutheran Church and the John Deere Museum. While at the museum you spot a front end loader. How many chapelites can it hold?
Answer: Nine chapelites and one deaconess.
Question 2: You want your high school student to learn about college life and campus ministry before he or she goes to college. What do you do?
Answer: Send him or her to the high school weekend at St. Paul’s. A number of high school students from eastern Iowa joined the chapel crowd for our first ever St. Paul’s High School Weekend in February. The high schoolers learned all about college life and campus ministry. They also devoured a chili supper made by the women of our Student Leadership Team, and they mastered Sardines, the chapel’s own hilarious version of Hide ‘n Seek.
Question 3: You plan a weekend of Camp Io-Dis-E-Ca. Where will you stay? Alpha Lodge, Raft Village, Tree Village?
Answer: Omega Lodge, Room 8: The Hawkeye Room, brought to you by a Spring break Servant Team from St. Paul’s. It’s beautiful!
Question 4: Relaxation, exercise, spending time with friends are all ways to reduce stress, but what is the best way to reduce stress?
Answer: Gather up your friends and shoot Nerf Guns at one another!
Question 5: What is the most coveted trophy in all of college sports?
Answer: The IDE President’s Cup, which resides at St. Paul’s Chapel after the Hawks beat the College Hill Lutheran Panthers at our annual kickball game.
