Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids

Infertility. Miscarriage. Barrenness. These days it seems that we all are affected by this sad consequence of the Fall -- we all know someone who has experienced barrenness in one way or another. What compounds the problem? We, the church, rarely talk about it.

For this reason, Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids is hosting a seminar, "Caring for the Barren Woman." Mrs. Katie Schuermann, author of the books He Remembers the Barren and Pew Sisters will present on the topic. Both pastors and parishioners are invited to attend -- the seminar is free, but an offering will be taken to help cover Mrs. Schuermann's travel expenses.
