St. Paul's Lutheran, Iowa City, In Lithuania Part Two

Dear President Arp,

Today was the last day that the Iowa young people spent working at thebuilding site. While the construction foreman and I was talking together late this afternoon he paid them all a very high compliment, saying that he was surprised that they worked so hard and so competently. He said thathe was especially impressed that the girls pitched in and worked so hard. He said that he had never before seen such a thing!

Tomorrow Dr Evanson and I are going to take them to the Amber Museaum inPalanga. On Friday they will go to Vilnius for a two day visit to ourcapital city before they fly back to the USA. It has been a reall pleasure to have them here.

They worked hard, and spread much goodwill everywhere they have gone.

Yours in Christ,

Darius Petkunas
