Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coralville

Coralville has one of the largest parades in the state on the Fourth of July. It passes right in front of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Each year , the members of the congregation are encouraged to bring their friends and family to set up their chairs and blankets on the curb in front of the church. As soon as the parade is over, the Fellowship Committee hosts a picnic for our guests. the event gets bigger and bigger each year.

Somehow, before the parade, a water fight broke out pitting the Pastor against every kid with a squirt gun. Everyone got soaked and loved it. Pictured above, everyone reloads from a pool meant to cool off warm children. It worked!

In Christ,
Rev. Mitchell Otto
