THE PURIFICATION OF MARY & PRESENTATION OF OUR LORD is a principal feast of Christ and will be celebrated at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids on Thursday, February 2^nd at 6:00 PM. Come follow the mother of our Lord to the temple to present the Lamb of God as we gather at church for the presentation of that Lamb to us in His Word. See with Simeon our Lord’s salvation as we too hold the Messiah in our hands as we receive the Sacrament. This is a special service called Candlemas, in which we will use our individual candles during the service and hear a special guest preacher, Rev. Max Mons of St. Paul’s Lutheran Chapel, Iowa City. May the Light of the world illumine our darkness!
